Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Guide – Where to find Amber
Amber can be obtained by searching for mineral deposits. Such deposits are typically found in caves, where they take the form of large, dark boulders surrounded by sparkling light.

Description | A fossilized resin with a caramelesque sheen to it. It’s been valued as a component in decorations and crafting since ancient times. |
When exploring a cave that contains such a boulder, you might also come across some more typical boulders. If you have a weak weapon in your inventory, you can strengthen it by adding the standard boulders using your Fuse ability. Then, shatter the mineral deposits to reveal the treasures they contain. You might come across Amber or even Ruby, as well as other useful items like Flint.
Amber can also be found in treasure chests; one such chest can be uncovered not far from the Pondside Cave, which is located in the southwest region of the Great Sky Island. This chest is easily accessible through the use of floating platforms. Get to that ledge, open the chest, and the amber inside will be yours.
The various wells scattered about the map are also a great place to find Amber. These small deposits provide an easy, usually conflict-free way to farm Amber in Tears of The Kingdom. Mark your favorites on the map and come back when you need to restock.
