Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Guide – What is Opal & How to use it
So, if you’re a cunning and thorough adventurer, you’ve probably come across a few difficult-to-reach chests. And these chests will occasionally drop an opal mineral.

|
Description | A valuable ore that gives off a mesmerizing iridescence similar to the inside of a seashell. It contains the power of water. |
This material usage is divided into two categories. You can either sell it or fuse it to a weapon to increase its attack.
If you want to sell them and you’re on Sky Island, you’ll have to wait until you reach the main area before you can start looking for vendors. The first person to whom I could sell it was the Rolling Pastures traveling merchant. She gives 30 Rupees per Opal.
You can also fuse an Opal to any weapon. This will give that weapon a +1 attack buff.
