The Golden State Warriors and the Dallas Mavericks, two teams fighting for a postseason spot, will square off on Wednesday night in Dallas.
The most recent injury report for tonight’s Warriors game against the Mavericks
The Warriors are ahead by half a game with a game in hand as they try to secure the sixth place in the Western Conference. This pivotal showdown will kick up at 7:30 PM EDT.
As the Mavericks (36-36) and Warriors (37-36) prepare to meet for the third and final time in the regular season, they are tied for sixth and seventh place in the Western Conference standings, respectively.
Before the Warriors’ 121-108 victory against Houston on Monday night, the Mavericks were losing 112-108 to Memphis on the road, while the Warriors had an 11-game losing run stopped.
Also at stake Wednesday is the season-series tie-breaker, with each team having won on its home court earlier this season to begin the three-game set.
FOR THE WARRIORS
Curry scored 26 points in the loss, bringing his career average against Irving in regular season confrontations to 23.8 points per game. Irving, by comparison, has scored 23.8 points per game in their 17 meetings.
Curry scored 30 points and Klay Thompson added 29 as the Warriors beat the Rockets in Houston on Monday to take their first win of the five-game road trip.
After the win, Thompson said that the Warriors may use it as momentum heading into the remaining nine games, four of which will be at home (after leaving Dallas).

FOR THE MAVERICKS
Before his team plays the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night, Dallas Mavericks coach Jason Kidd will likely have to make two important game-time decisions. This is a key game in the Western Conference playoff race.
Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving have never played together for Dallas, and they might not play together this time either.
Doncic (thigh) might not be able to play against the Warriors on Wednesday.
Doncic has missed five straight games because of a strain in his left thigh, and he may be out for a sixth straight game. He was also listed as questionable before Monday’s loss to Memphis before being downgraded to out, so Doncic’s Wednesday status doesn’t tell us anything new about his health.
Kyrie Irving is also questionable after tweaking his right foot in Monday’s loss. If both superstars are out again, Jaden Hardy and Josh Green would probably get more playing time.
Irving missed three games last week because of pain in his right big toe. He came back and scored 38 points in a win on the road against the Los Angeles Lakers last Friday, but only 28 in a loss to Memphis.
Irving was seen in a walking boot after the injury seemed to get worse in Monday’s game, but he told reporters not to make too much of it until a more thorough checkup.
Like Doncic, Irving is not sure if he will be able to play against Warriors star Stephen Curry, which would be their second matchup this season.
Irving beat his rival in a game in San Francisco in January when he was playing for the Brooklyn Nets. He scored 38 points to help the Nets win 120-116.
