Update Injury for Golden State Warriors and Atlanta Hawks
The Warriors
The Golden State Warriors enter this game having lost by a score of 134-126 to the Los Angeles Clippers. In that game, they were unable to cover the spread because of defensive issues.
The Golden State Warriors enter this game having lost by a score of 134-126 to the Los Angeles Clippers. In that game, they were unable to cover the spread because of defensive issues.
The Warriors are currently 10.5 games behind the Western Conference-leading Denver Nuggets and sit in sixth place. They are (6-4) in their last 10 games played.
Steph Curry’s offensive prowess remains unmatched, as he is averaging 30.1/game on 50.4% shooting from the field.
During Wednesday’s 134-126 loss to the Clippers, Curry had 50 points (20-28 FG, 8-14 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 6 assists, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals in 39 minutes of play.
Curry was outstanding, but the rest of the Warriors’ team didn’t contribute much to the game.
The two-time league MVP’s 50 points were tied for the most in a game this season, and his averages of 34.2 points, 5.3 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steals on 55/51/86 percent shooting are all season highs. He returned to action on March 5 after missing a month with a leg injury.
Curry is questionable for this game due to left thumb soreness. If the star point guard misses Friday’s matchup, Jordan Poole, Donte DiVincenzo and Moses Moody could see expanded roles.
Injury Report: Andre Iguodala SG (Wrist), Gary Payton III PG (Thigh), Ryan Rollins PG (Foot), and Andrew Wiggins SF (Personal) are out. Draymond Green PF (Suspension), Stephen Curry (Thumb).

The Hawks
The last time out, the Atlanta Hawks were defeated by the Minnesota Timberwolves by a score of 136-115. They also had trouble defending, so they’ll need to increase their shot blocking in order to compete with the Warriors at home.
Atlanta is currently 8th in the Eastern Conference, 16 games behind the conference-leading Milwaukee Bucks. In their last 10 games, the Hawks are also (5-5), with two consecutive defeats.
The offensive juggernaut that is Trae Young keeps rolling along, averaging 27 points per game on 43.6% shooting from the field.
In Monday’s 136-115 loss to the Timberwolves, Young went for 41 points (15-25 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 10-10 FT) along with 7 assists, 6 rebounds, and 1 steal in 34 minutes of action.
The Hawks’ night was otherwise forgettable, with Young being the only bright spot. The point guard is on fire as of late, averaging 31.4 points per game over the last five games and scoring at least 30 points in each of the last two.
Young’s assist total was lower than usual because his team had a rough night shooting the three-pointer on Monday (they made only four of 22 attempts).
Injury Report: Jalen Johnson (Hamstring)
