Defeating a Giant Kemono in Wild Hearts will net you a variety of useful crafting materials, including a Small Brumal Wind Crystal and some Dawn Guard Kemono Blood.
How to get Small Brumal Wind Crystal in Wild Hearts
There are two ways to get the Small Brumal Wind Crystal in Wild Hearts. They can be dropped from Cobalt Lavabacks in Fuyufusagi Fort (Chapter 2). Also in this area, you can also get some Small Brumal Wind Crystals when you defeat normal Icetusks.
How to get Dawn Guard Kemono Blood in Wild Hearts
To obtain these materials, you must successfully hunt and slay Amaterasu Giant Kemonos, which can be found in Akikure Canyon (Chapter 4). This is a more common drop, though you may still have to slay a few to get what you need. This item is used to tailor Dawn Guard armor and upgrade certain armor sets at Minato’s forge.
Normal Kemono are found in chapters 1 and 2. Mighty Kemono are found in chapters 3 and 4. Volatile and Deeply Volatile Kemonos are only found in chapter 5, but you will need keystones in order to unlock Deeply Volatile Kemonos. As you might expect, the more challenging the Kemono, the rarer the loot.
