The most important hint regarding where and how to locate the Gloaming Ore is contained in the quest text. In Seren’s cryptic note, the hint says “A rock concealed in a soaring cliff, revealed but in the eventide – a stone of sweet recollection.” The quest log will also state “It seems as though Akikure Canyon is the place to look for them”. When you combine these factors, the answer is clear: you must visit Akikure Canyon in the evening to get Gloaming Ore.
The simplest way to do this is to go to one of your Akikure Caynon campsites, visit one of your Hunter’s Tents, and then select Rest until evening. After that, proceed to the marked yellow area in the lower left section of the map. You can also rest in your Minato house.
Once there, look for the Gloaming Ore on the ridge’s sidewall. It will resemble a red ore with radiance and sparkle. If you pick up the ore outside of Evening, you’ll get a regular Ore. If you pick up the item at the right time, you will receive Gloaming Ore.
Now that you have the ore, simply return to Minato and Seren to complete the request.
