Blizzard has announced Lifeweaver, the new Support hero that will debut in Overwatch 2 Season 4, along with his voice actor.
Who is the voice actor for Lifeweaver in Overwatch 2 Season 4?
Season 4 of Overwatch 2 begins on April 11, and with it comes the release of the newest hero, the Thai tree hugger Lifeweaver, who adds a welcome dose of diversity to the game’s roster.
As the game’s first Southeast Asian hero, Blizzard naturally chose a Thai actor to voice the character. Lifeweaver frequently speaks Thai in voicelines in addition to English, making it critical that the Overwatch 2 hero be voiced by someone from the country.
Now that Blizzard has officially introduced Lifeweaver, we also know who voices him. Overwatch 2’s Lead Narrative Designer Gavin Jurgens-Fyhrie has confirmed that 19-year-old Thai actor Phuwin Tangsakyuen will play the role.
Tangsakyuen’s latest tweet offers commentary on his character and shares the newest trailer.

Although Tangsakyuen’s role as the voice of Lifeweaver in Overwatch 2 is his first in a video game, he has been acting professionally since 2014. Nuengdiao Kiattrakulmethee in Never Let Me Go, Wifi in My Bubble Tea, and Pi in Fish on the Sky are just a few of his more recent roles.
Overwatch 2 Season 4 begins on April 11, 2023, and will include Lifeweaver. Along with his debut, there will be an event that will run until April 24, 2023.
About Overwatch 2
Overwatch 2 is a 2022 first-person shooter game developed by Blizzard Entertainment. As a sequel and replacement for the 2016 hero shooter Overwatch, the game intends to provide a shared environment for player-versus-player (PvP) modes while also introducing persistent cooperative modes. A significant change in PvP modes was the reduction of team sizes from six to five. Several major characters were also reworked. Overwatch 2 is free-to-play on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S in early access on October 4 and features full cross-platform play.
