According to a Reddit post by user NPCpranks_, the player drowned a bunch of NPCs by locking them in a carriage and then shooting it into the ocean. Members of the thread openly discussed their own sadistic moments in the game. And one of the participants even called themselves the “Saint Denis slasher.”

Another described their sadistic escapade of breaking into a random guy’s house, tying them up, and taking them outside into the woods before letting them go. While the NPC ran for their life after being shaken free of their gun and knife, the player shot him in the back of the knees with a.22 varmint rifle, rendering them unable to run as the player released him to the legendary grizzly. A sadist among us.

It’s a good thing the game allows you so much freedom, because Red Dead Redemption 2 is likely to remain the go-to game for a long time if you want the best cowboy experience possible. It’s likely that Rockstar will make Red Dead Redemption 3, but with their current focus on Grand Theft Auto 6, it’ll be a while before fans can get their hands on it. Since Grand Theft Auto has been the studio’s bread and butter for the past decade, it stands to reason that they are devoting all of their efforts to the series. Red Dead Redemption fans will have to endure a long wait.
