What Does the Commodore’s Vestures Do in Darktide?
When you respawn on the Mourningstar, take a left towards the Armory Exchange, but don’t go all the way there. Instead, at the nearby intersection, you will notice The Commodore’s Vestures sitting nicely on the corner, with Commodore Hallowette sitting right at the desk, ready to provide you with everything you could possibly want in terms of appearance.
The Commodore’s Vestures contain a variety of cosmetics that can be purchased for the premium currency Aquilas. The main page features several weekly bundles that can be purchased for varying amounts of Aquilas, while each of the four character pages contains even more cosmetics. As an example, at the time of writing, the Veteran offers an individual outfit, two different pieces of headgear, and a weapon skin. These are subject to change. When it comes to acquiring Aquilas, pressing the button in the upper right allows you to select from a variety of packs. These range in price from around $2 to $30, depending on your local currency. This, along with the changing bundles and prices, is what makes this shop controversial. In the age of microtransactions, you might be surprised to learn that this is relatively mild. But that doesn’t mean we’re happy with it.
If you’re willing to spend some extra money on top of purchasing the game, these skins will be useful for outfitting your character in some cool gear. Just don’t go overboard with the credit card.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is now available on Steam.
