The inclusion of Eren Yeager in the Fortnite x Attack on Titan collaboration was always expected, but a new reveal has revealed more.
What can you expect from Fortnite x Attack on Titan collaboration?
Titan Swords Harvesting Tool
While the Titan Strike Harvesting Tool is included in the Eren bonus rewards, it is not the same. The Mikasa and Levi video shows them wielding swords used to sever titans’ necks, so there is every reason to believe they will be included in the Item Shop bundle.(s). If there are any Harvesting Tools related to the series, one of the most iconic weapons in anime has to be included.
Armin Arlert outfit
While Eren, Mikasa, and Levi are the only confirmed outfits in this collaboration, something doesn’t feel quite right. There’s no reason to only have Eren and Mikasa available, leaving out the third member of the trio. We expect Armin to be a part of the final collaboration, but Epic Games doesn’t want eager players to find out too soon.
Survey Cloak alternate styles
Fortnite’s video of Mikasa and Levi showcases their default outfits, brown uniforms. The green cloaks, however, are as much a part of the uniform as anything else. In light of this, we anticipate seeing the cloaks as alternative options for Mikasa and Levi. The Eren outfit in the bonus items also mentions selectable styles. Like other similar types of gear, they should also have a way to turn the hood on or off.
Things we’d like to see in Fortnite x Attack on Titan collaboration
Armored/Colossal Titan outfit
The collaboration guarantees us three human skins, but we’ll also need something for the other side of the wall. The Armored and Colossal Titans would likely be near the top of any list of the series’ most significant characters. Both are awesome, but if forced to choose, we’d go with the gigantic.
ODM Gear Back Bling
Grisha’s special key that he gave to Eren is the only piece of Back Bling that anyone knows about right now. It’s a cool reference, but it’s not an integral piece of equipment that ought to be turned into a cosmetic. The ODM Gear should also be available as a Back Bling, especially if it isn’t bundled with any of the available skin variations.
Titan Transformation Built-In Emote
Some skins in the Dragon Ball Super and My Hero Academia collaborations come with an emote that lets players change their style. We want Eren’s Attack Titan form to be included in the Fortnite x Attack on Titan collaboration, and for players to be able to switch to it whenever they want. This also implies that the emote transition will be much more involved (the hand bite), but much cooler than the Super Saiyan transformation emotes.
Opening theme track
Guren no Yumiya by Linked Horizon is one of the best pieces of anime music. We can’t help but want to rock out to that before dropping onto the island. This may appear to be an unusual request, but it is still fantastic.
