Fantasy football managers will need to keep adjusting their rosters as we move toward Week 16 and the second round of the playoffs in order to reach the season’s apex.
Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 16: Zack Moss, Tyler Allgeier, Deon Jackson and Chuba Hubbard

Summary
- Zack Moss
- Tyler Allgeier
- Deon Jackson
- Chuba Hubbard
1. Zack Moss, Indianapolis Colts – 2%
The leader of the charge was Zack Moss, despite the fact that most fantasy managers would have predicted Deon Jackson to have done so after his earlier audition for the position when Taylor previously missed time.
#Colts RB Usage with no Jonathan Taylor yesterday.
– Zack Moss: 67% snaps, 24 carries, 1 target (81 yards)
– Deon Jackson: 32% snaps, 13 carries, 1 target (56 yards, TD)— Michael F. Florio (@MichaelFFlorio) December 18, 2022
Could the lopsided score be to blame for this? It’s possible, but given what we saw on Saturday, it appears that Moss ought to be the top addition in this case.
2. Tyler Allgeier, Atlanta Falcons – 37% Rostered
Could Tyler Allgeier create a true committee in the Falcons’ backfield? Although we still have a tendency to think of Cordarrelle Patterson as the leader, the truth is that it has already been a committee. However, Allgeier had played more snaps than Patterson in three out of four games from Weeks 10 to 13 (Week 14 was a bye). Allgeier played 36 snaps last weekend compared to Patterson’s 37.
Tyler Allgeier recorded a 76.5% success rate in Week 15, the highest by any RB in a game this season (min. 15 carries).

Allgeier has averaged 6.9, 4.9, 5.2, and 8.2 yards per carry over the past four contests. Allgeier has been so productive that it wouldn’t be unexpected to see him take over as the Falcons’ main rusher, with Patterson playing a more specialized, pass-catching role.
3. Deon Jackson, Indianapolis Colts – 7% Rostered
Zack Moss should be given priority by fantasy managers over Deon Jackson, but Jackson is by no means to be completely disregarded. Jackson had a combined 25 carries, 104 rushing yards, and one touchdown when Taylor was absent in Weeks 5 and 6. Additionally, he had 108 receiving yards on 14 receptions (not a typo) from 14 targets.
He ended up scoring 11.1 and 23.1 half-PPR points in those two consecutive weeks. Jackson was more productive per touch than Moss, which might mean that Jackson gets more work the following week.
4. Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers – 39% Rostered
Chuba Hubbard played significantly more snaps even though he received only four carries compared to D’Onta Foreman’s ten.
Compared to Foreman’s 29, he took 46 snaps. The fact that Hubbard ran 16 routes—significantly more than Foreman’s two—was more important. Hubbard didn’t get as many carries as in the previous two games, but he more than made up for it with three receptions and 57 receiving yards.
