SUMMARY

  • Odell Beckham Jr
  • Deshaun Watson
  • Jameson Williams
  • James Cook
  • Treylon Burks

Let’s get to it.

1. Odell Beckham Jr

OBJ has stated that he will sign with a team after Thanksgiving and be ready to play in December.

It’s difficult to expect OBJ to make a significant fantasy impact at this point, but if he shows up and shows out with his new team, now is the time to stash him.

Even a good game in Week 17 could be enough to change the outcome of your league.

2. Deshaun Watson

UPDATE: Watson has completed his 11-game suspension and will be officially reinstated by the NFL on Monday.

We’re featuring Watson here for the second week in a row because it’s getting close to last call if you want him for the stretch run. He is eligible to return in Week 13 and will play immediately.

A revenge game against the Texans is a favorable matchup, and a fantasy playoff schedule against the Saints, Ravens, and Commanders is favorable enough for Watson to shine if he isn’t too rusty.

3. Jameson Williams

UPDATE: Williams (knee) will not be activated from the reserve/non-football injury list for the game against the Bills on Thursday, but he could make his season debut as early as Week 13, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Williams (knee) was designated to return from the injured list on Monday, giving Detroit 21 days to activate him or he’ll be out for the rest of the season.

He’s unlikely to return for Thursday’s Week 12 game, but he has a good chance of returning in Week 13 against the Jaguars.

Another favorable matchup (Vikings) awaits in Week 14, and after a tough one against the Jets, he’ll have two more above-average matchups against the Panthers and Bears to finish the fantasy season.

Grab him now, as the explosive rookie has the potential to be a factor down the stretch.

4. James Cook

UPDATE: In Thursday’s 28-25 win over Detroit, Cook rushed twice for four yards and caught two of five targets for 14 yards.

Cook has only had more than five carries in a game twice this season, but one of those was against Cleveland last week, when he rushed for a career-high 86 yards on 11 attempts.

It’s possible that the rookie’s role will grow in the future, as Devin Singletary has been mostly mediocre as Buffalo’s lead back.

Cook has some streamer value on Thanksgiving in a highly favorable matchup against the Lions, even if he remains nothing more than a valuable handcuff. In standard leagues, Cook can serve as a flex.

5. Treylon Burks

Burks finally delivered the big game fantasy owners had been hoping for, catching seven of eight targets for 116 yards against Green Bay last Thursday.

It’s too early to say whether this is a sign of things to come for the rest of the season, but it’s clear that Burks possesses the tools to be a productive NFL receiver.

In Tennessee’s run-heavy offense, he won’t see eight targets every week, but he’s worth stashing just in case this is the start of a breakout.

Keep him on the bench against Cincinnati next week, but keep an eye on his target share.
