Beta Scrapped to Bolster Launch
Originally scheduled for sometime before the game’s September 9th, 2024 release, the beta’s cancellation was announced by developer Saber Interactive and publisher Focus Entertainment in a Steam update.
The reasoning behind the cancellation is a focus on ensuring a smooth launch experience. The developers stated, “We are now entirely focused on optimization, polish and fixing remaining issues ahead of launch on September 9.” They believe diverting resources to the beta would detract from this goal.
As a gesture of apology for the canceled beta, players who had registered for participation will receive a limited edition Porphyr Shield Bolt Pistol weapon skin for use in the full game.
