Unlocking the Quest
To initiate the quest that leads to the Mountain Hollow, players must first attain rank 12 in their Island Sanctuary. However, it’s important to note that the quest cannot be completed until reaching rank 13. The quest can be activated at rank 12, but players must progress until reaching rank 13 to continue. The mammet near the designated dig site will have a red quest marker until this condition is met.
Reaching Rank 13
To reach rank 13, players must ensure that their island handicrafts are set up for the week and actively tend to their gardens and animals manually. These actions increase the experience gained, facilitating rank progression. Alternatively, players can spend hours harvesting nodes for 10 EXP each until they accumulate the hundreds of thousands of experience points required to rank up.
Unlocking the Mountain Hollow Area
At rank 12, players can investigate the marked area and encounter the Determined Digger mammet. However, progress will eventually halt as the mammet requests tools that can only be crafted at rank 13. Once players achieve rank 13, they can return to the mammet by the mountain, who will task them with creating Mammet-sized Spelunking Tools. The materials required to craft these tools are as follows:
- Island Resin x10
- Island Quartz x10
- Island Palm Log x10
- Island Wood Opal x10
- Island Iron Ore x10
Upon successfully crafting the tools, players must speak with the Determined Digger again, triggering a cutscene depicting the mammet digging into the mountain. Following this, players gain access to the Mountain Hollow area.
