Trae Young and DeMar DeRozan READY for Tuesday's game. Injury Update for Hawks - Bulls

On Tuesday, the Chicago Bulls will meet the Atlanta Hawks, continuing a frantic quest for positioning in the Eastern Conference play-in race.

The latest Injury Report for Atlanta Hawks vs. Chicago Bulls

FOR THE HAWKS

After beating Dallas 132-130 in overtime on Sunday, Atlanta is looking for its first straight victories since March 8 and 10.

After the Mavericks’ Luka Doncic missed a potential game-winning 3-pointer with 1.8 seconds remaining, Trae Young calmly sank a pair of free throws.

With the Hawks, Young’s 24 points were second only to Dejounte Murray’s.

According to Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network, Young’s status for Tuesday’s game against the Bulls is in doubt because to an ailment that is not COVID.

Young hasn’t missed a game since early February, but he won’t be able to play against the Bulls on Tuesday due to sickness. If Young is out, look for Vit Krejci and Aaron Holiday to get some playing time.

Despite Collins’ season-long difficulties from deep, he has shot 39.4 percent from outside the arc over the past eight games.

Due to a bone bruise and muscle strain in his left knee, Atlanta’s De’Andre Hunter has missed the past two games.

During Tuesday’s game against the Bulls, the Hawks should continue playing without their ailing players.

FOR THE BULLS

Atlanta (39-39) is currently in ninth place in the Eastern Conference with one game in hand over Chicago (10-40).

At 38-40, the Bulls have a four-game lead over the team in last place, but they have not yet qualified for the play-in round.

With one more win, or one more loss by the Orlando Magic, Chicago will be able to join the pack.

Winning this game is crucial for the Bulls since it would give them the season series tiebreaker against the Hawks.

After losing 123-122 in overtime at Atlanta on December 11, the Bulls have won the two subsequent meetings against the Hawks, most recently on January 23 by a score of 111-100 at home.

DeMar DeRozan, the Bulls’ best scorer, has led the team in scoring over the past three games, averaging 29.3 points per contest, while Zach LaVine, the Bulls’ second-highest scorer, has scored 20 or more points in eight of his last nine matchups against the Hawks.

On Sunday, they helped the Chicago Bulls beat the Memphis Grizzlies 128-107 thanks in large part to a 75-39 second-half outburst.

The Bulls extended their winning streak to four games thanks to 36 point performances from both LaVine and DeRozan.

Chicago tied a team record with three turnovers. Throughout the same time frame, the team’s defense has allowed just 144 points, all of which have come off of turnovers.

A more open court is a result of the Bulls’ improved spacing, as noted by head coach Billy Donovan. “There were times where we got steals and we’d just run to the basket. We have to understand giving each other room and space to breathe and to play.”

Let’s keep going down the list of Chicago Bulls’ injured players for today’s game.
