The latest Injury Update for Philadelphia 76ers vs. Toronto Raptors
Philadelphia has a 2-1 edge over Toronto so far this season. The third-place 76ers in the Eastern Conference welcomed back Joel Embiid and James Harden.
The 116-108 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday was the 76ers’ (50-26) second win in their last six contests.
The Mavericks had a 12-point lead in the second quarter and a 91-89 advantage heading into the final frame, but the 76ers came back to win and snap a three-game losing run.
On Monday, the 76ers’ 116-111 loss in Denver capped a 1-3 road trip.
Embiid ended the game with 25 points, nine rebounds, and three assists, while Harden scored 15 points and dished out 12 assists while pulling down four boards. Tirese Maxey contributed 22 points.
The tightness in his leg was “good enough,” Embiid said. The Denver game was one he had to skip.
Harden, who had missed the previous four games due to a left Achilles tendon injury, reported that the tendon felt “OK” but “got a little sore” in the last minutes. For months, he added, he’s been thinking about that.
The Sixers will be fortunate to face the Raptors without any injured starters.
The Toronto Raptors kick off a five-game road trip against the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night, giving them a chance to play better away from Scotiabank Arena.
The Raptors (38-38) beat the Miami Heat (92-106) on Tuesday to finish their homestand 3-1 and get back to even for the first time since they were 13-13 on December 9.
They have a 26-14 record at home but a 12-24 record away from it. They will be playing Thursday in the ninth spot in the Eastern Conference.
Scottie Barnes, who had 22 points, a career-high 12 assists, and three steals against the Heat, stated, “Every game’s vital, we need every single one of these games to put ourselves in a better position.”
On April 9, Toronto will host the Milwaukee Bucks for its final home game of the season.
