According to reports, the New York Mets continue to work out a deal despite their concerns about Carlos Correa’ surgically repaired ankle.
The Giants have made contact with Carlos Correa’s camp
Farhan Zaidi, president of baseball operations for the San Francisco Giants, confirmed that they are surveying the situation in case something changes.
Zaidi met with beat reporters for the first time since Correa’s reported 13-year, $350 million contract fell through due to physical issues. NBS Sports Bay Area’s Alex Pavlovic reported on the Giants’ current situation with Correa:

Of course, the “deal elsewhere” refers to Correa’s 12-year, $315 million contract with the Mets. Given that he is still technically a free agent, the Giants are in an unusual position in which they cannot speak extensively about Correa, particularly in terms of his physical.
Having said that, Zaidi spoke in broad strokes about the pursuit of Correa. According to Danny Emerman of KNBR, the Giants’ approach to Correa was unanimous:
Farhan Zaidi on Carlos Correa: "One thing I want to make clear, and I think it's really important for us as an organization and that our fans hear it from me — and hopefully believe it is — our organization was totally unified every step of the way as this unfolded…

Since the Mets expressed concern about Correa’s medicals last week, the negotiations have been unusually quiet, with few details emerging. One of those nuggets was that at least three teams had recently checked in on Correa’s camp. The Giants were clearly one of those teams.
The NY Mets and Correa are negotiating contract language that will protect both parties in the event of an injury. It is likely that a deal will be reached, and the Mets will have an exclusive negotiating window with the star shortstop.
However, the door is left slightly open for another team to enter the discussions. That would not happen until a deal with the Mets fell through completely. The Giants, as Zaidi stated, have reached out and are monitoring the situation.
