Ezekiel Elijah Elliott (born July 22, 1995) is a National Football League running back for the Dallas Cowboys (NFL). He attended Ohio State University and was named second-team All-America in 2015. Elliott was selected fourth overall by the Cowboys in the 2016 NFL Draft.
What injuries has Ezekiel Elliot sustained during his NFL career?
Injury: None
Injury status: Active
UPDATE (DEC. 18): Elliott rushed 15 times for 62 yards and a touchdown in the Texans’ 27-23 win on Sunday. He added three receptions for 19 yards on five targets.
UPDATE 4: On Sunday, Elliott rushed 17 times for 77 yards and a touchdown against the Colts. In a 54-19 rout, he also caught all three of his targets for 14 yards.
UPDATE 3: Elliott (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Vikings by SiriusXM NFL Radio’s Adam Caplan.
UPDATE 2: Elliott (knee) practiced in a limited capacity on Thursday, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic.
UPDATE: According to Patrick Walker of the Cowboys’ official website, Ezekiel Elliott (knee) participated in limited practice Wednesday.
Elliott (knee) was listed as “questionable” for the Cowboys’ Week 10 game against the Packers. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones stated on Friday that Elliott will play.
The Cowboys do not expect to make a decision on Elliott’s status until he is evaluated before the game. Because Dallas plays in the late afternoon, fantasy owners should keep him in their flex to be able to replace him with a WR or TE if necessary.
After missing Week 8 against the Bears, the veteran running back has been limited at practice all week. The Cowboys had a bye week last week, which allowed Elliott to rest his sprained MCL.
It will be interesting to see how many carries Elliott gets compared to Tony Pollard if he plays. Pollard and Elliott should be considered RB2/flex options against a Packers defense that ranks 13th in fantasy points per game allowed to RBs this season.
