Odell Beckham, who played for the Cleveland Browns and the Los Angeles Rams in 2021, is currently a free agent and could end up playing alongside Barkley.
Where will Odell Beckham Jr. sign?
Saquon Barkley previously hinted at a reunion with the New York Giants, and now he’s going to hope for it to happen. Particularly in light of Sterling Shepard’s season-ending ACL tear.
Barkley spoke with Tony Anderson on “Sports Seriously” about Beckham:
“Odell, he’s a different cat. Special, special player. I know that he’s doing everything he can in his rehab to come back even better, and you never know, maybe one day we’ll be on the same team.”
In the second quarter of the Los Angeles Rams’ 23-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI, the wide receiver tore his ACL in his left knee. Beckham was on his way to a giant game at the time, with two receptions for 52 yards and the game’s first touchdown.
From 2014 to 2018, Beckham was a three-time Pro Bowler for the New York Giants. Beckham, who played for the Cleveland Browns and the Los Angeles Rams in 2021, is currently a free agent and could possibly end up playing and together with Barkley.
Via the Los Angeles Times:
“We just keep it out of respect,” safety Nick Scott said of Beckham’s space. “Hopefully, we get him back.”
“It makes you smile every day you come in and see it,” offensive lineman Rob Havenstein said. “Hope he’s back.”
“Odell,” cornerback Jalen Ramsey said, “come back.”
“I’m not closing the book on Odell or anybody,” quarterback Matthew Stafford said.
