Cowboy’s fans may have assumed that a deal for Odell Beckham Jr had died because owner Jerry Jones was concerned about OBJ’s health and ability to play this season.
The Cowboys have provided an exciting Odell Beckham Jr update
Fans assumed that the Cowboys had officially moved on from Beckham after signing veteran wide receiver TY Hilton, who not only plays the same position as Beckham but also wears the same jersey number.
Beckham Jr is still a free agent after being released by the Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams last season. And, while his current status is unknown, he remains a wanted man, with the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants both keen to sign him.
The problem is that the wide receiver does not want a short-term contract, indicating that he wants assurances from any team willing to sign him to a two- or three-year deal.
However, it has been reported that Beckham could sign a one-year deal with the Cowboys but would prefer to be given a long-term contract after the season if he can contribute.

Skip Bayless stated on the FOX Sports show Undispited:
“I was told last night that Odell told Jerry that he will take the million now, if he gets taken care of after this year. If he can miraculously get back and win a Super Bowl, then he wants to be taken care of.
“I was told he used the line ‘I want the beg’ and then Jerry Jones said he will take care of him. The Cowboys have five-star facilities, and they’d be able to monitor Odell to get him back in 2023.
“But the issue is that no-one knows if he can run or not as no-one has seen him. Apparently, he is still a little limp-y when he walks, remember he has has two surgeries on the same knee.”
The Cowboys remain one of the favorites to win it all this year, thanks to a dominant defense and an improving offense that could be boosted significantly by the arrival of the superstar.
