The Cycle: Frontier Season 3 Release Date Revealed
Producer Matt Lightfoot has announced that Season 2 will run longer than originally planned, and that Season 3 will premiere on March 29. When the third season starts, there will be one more mandatory server wipe, after which point progression will no longer be wiped between seasons.
Lightfoot says this will require a complete overhaul of the game’s mechanics and economy. Due to the lack of server wipes, the “whole game and economy” will be rebalanced, making endgame gear harder to get.
Although there will be no more mandatory server wipes, Lightfoot and Yager are looking into ways for players to wipe voluntarily so they can reset progression whenever they want. That won’t be possible at the start of Season 3 because, according to Lightfoot, the developers are still looking for the best way to implement this potential change. In addition to the aforementioned changes, campaigns will be reworked to accommodate the new economic rebalancing. There will also be new endgame content to look forward to, and endgame quests will be a major point of expansion for The Cycle: Frontier in the future. This makes perfect sense; after all, a game focused on long-term progression requires something to progress towards, right?
More information about The Cycle: Frontier Season 3 will be released later in January, according to Yager, so keep an eye out for that if you want to know what’s coming to Fortuna III in the future.
