Although Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is still three months away from release, its official art book appears to have been leaked online.
The art book for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been leaked online
The origin of the leaks was from a Reddit user named JustJulienOffic. Last week, several images was posted claiming that a friend had sent them “an interesting look” at its art book. The book will be included with the Collector’s Edition of the game, and according to the user is “a little over 200 pages” in length.
The original post no longer exists, but others remain, and the now-deleted images are circulating on social media and other forums. From those images, we can see some of the game’s new enemies and locations, as well as concept art of Link and the other playable characters (including some new faces).
If confirmed, the leak will be frustrating for Nintendo, which has historically gone to great lengths to keep the content of its games secret before they’re released.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be released on Nintendo Switch on May 12, following a number of delays. In addition to the standard version, which will be available for $69.99, the Tears of the Kingdom Collector’s Edition will be available for $129.99. It will include a physical copy of the game, the art book, a Steelbook case, an Iconart steel poster, and four pin badges.
Nintendo has hinted that the tone of Tears of the Kingdom will be darker than usual. The trailers certainly support this claim, with their eerie backwards music and creepy monsters.
