While we wait for official word from Rockstar Games, it appears that the GTA 6 announcement trailer has already been leaked.
The announcement trailer for GTA 6 was reportedly leaked early
SanInPlay, a YouTuber, claims to have seen the first trailer, which focuses on introducing us to Lucia. For those unfamiliar, Lucia is one-half of the game’s Bonnie and Clyde-inspired duo and its female protagonist – a first for the franchise.
San reveals the content of the GTA 6 announcement trailer in a tweet, which includes canines having fun at the beach, a lizard crossing the street, and Lucia getting her workout on behind bars. There’s also a reminder that SanInPlay was among the first to correctly report Lucia’s name, in case you still need convincing.

When will GTA 6 be released?
Announcement trailers are all well and good, but dare we hold out hope for a release date being tacked on at the end? The 2022 leak was apparently from an early build of the game, reiterating that GTA 6 has been in the works for years.
Announcement trailers for upcoming projects are great and all, but should we hold out hope that a release date will be included? The 2022 leak originated from an alleged early build of the game, confirming that GTA 6 has been in development for years.Every week, we hear new rumors regarding the GTA 6 release date. After reports of a “turbulent” development process and the possibility of starting over, we learned that GTA 6 is being rushed for an early release.
The issue is, after a decade, can anything be considered an early release? Given how little we’ve seen from Rockstar, a release in 2023 or 2024 seems unlikely. 2025 or 2026 is a possibility, but we’re honestly tired of waiting.
So long as Rockstar hasn’t given us the green light and released an official trailer, we’ll have to continue scouring Reddit in the hopes of discerning between genuine leaks and those posted by people looking for an upvote.
