Smalland: Survive the Wilds Guide – How to get Screws
Screws can be found by following the river that is close to where your Smallfolk began their journey. It shouldn’t be too hard to find one Screw at the beginning of the game, as the Stonecutter is a necessary item to craft in order to advance in the game. Like other small items that resemble litter, screws can end up on the riverbank (think keys and bottlecaps).

To make a Cauldron, you must first have a Stonecutter in order to craft one with 10x Stone and 7x Refined Wood. Beyond the initial unlocked recipes, the Cauldron is required for cooking food recipes that can be used to replenish health but also to make treats to tame various creatures in the game.
