Talking about the day he will eventually pass on, Simon Cowell has already hinted that he doesn’t plan to leave his unborn son very much money. The reality judge just found out he’s expecting a son with Lauren Silverman. Although he says he would leave some cash to “kids and dogs”, he admits that he doesn’t believe on passing on the wealth to the next generation – which sounds like little Simon won’t grow up with the same lifestyle daddy currently has. He thinks he would like to leave the bulk of his huge wealth to charity instead:
”I’m going to leave my money to somebody. A charity, probably – kids and dogs. I don’t believe in passing on from one generation to another. Your legacy has to be that hopefully you gave enough people an opportunity, so that they could do well, and you gave them your time, taught them what you know.”
Speaking on the possibility of retiring, Simon says that people who retire usually hate their jobs and he hopes to continue working long in to his old age:
”A lot of people who retire, they hate their job so much, they just love the idea of not working any more. That horrifies me. I’m going to be still working in my 80s or 90s.”
