The exclusive Golden Pelican is the most prestigious eatery in Sea of Stars, located in Brisk near the fountain. However, getting inside this high-class restaurant is no easy feat.
Sea of Stars Guide – How to Get Invited to the Golden Pelican Restaurant
The Gilded Invitation item is needed to enter the Golden Pelican. This restaurant only becomes available midway through the story after rebuilding Brisk. At first glance, it may seem the Golden Pelican hides treasure or a special recipe. However, it is tied to one of the most emotional moments in the game leading up to the true ending.
To get an invitation, you must first complete several other requirements:
- Find all 60 Rainbow Conches hidden throughout the world.
- Defeat the Fleshmancer’s lieutenant boss.
- Acquire the Hook of Time item by speaking to Garl at Camp twice after recruiting him.
With the Hook of Time, go to the small island south of Wraith Island with the mysterious fishing hole. Instead of fishing normally, use the Hook of Time while standing in the water to pull up a hidden ruin.
Inside the short dungeon, dispatch some easy enemies to reach an underwater area with a key surrounded by fish. Rather than fishing for it, hop into the water and grab the key directly.
Use the key on the sparkling figure upstairs to access the final room. Here you’ll have to fish out the Golden Pelican’s Head Chef from a large pond. Defeating him in battle will reward you with the coveted Gilded Invitation.
Return to Gaspar in Brisk and present the Gilded Invitation to finally gain access to the exclusive restaurant. Enjoy one of the most heartwarming scenes in the game before setting out to achieve Sea of Stars‘ true ending.
The Golden Pelican may seem like more trouble than it’s worth, but completing its unique questline leads to an unforgettable experience. Just beware of major story spoilers!
