Rudy Gobert and Kawhi Leonard: IN or OUT for this match tonight. Injury Report for Timberwolves - Clippers

On February 28, 2022, the Los Angeles Clippers travel to Crypto.com Arena to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves in a Western Conference matchup of the NBA season.

The latest Injury Update for Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Clippers

Minnesota Timberwolves

The Timberwolves come into this game riding a three-game losing run, most recently a 109-104 loss at the hands of the Warriors on Sunday.

As Anthony Edwards was restricted to 12 points on 5-of-19 shooting, Naz Reid set a new career high with 30 points (26.3 percent). Edwards leads the squad in scoring with 24.7 points per contest.

In the final round, the Timberwolves shot only 3 of 13 from beyond the arc and made only 10 of 21 free throws.

Karl-Anthony Towns (calf) is still out for Minnesota, and Rudy Gobert (13.4 ppg, 11.6 rpg) was sick and didn’t play on Sunday. It is already early December, and Towns still hasn’t played.

The Timberwolves are now playing the second of four games in California before beginning a period in which they will face eight straight Eastern Conference opponents, including the Philadelphia 76ers and the Boston Celtics.

Will Rudy Gobert be here later on tonight?

Gobert (illness) could play against the Clippers on Tuesday.

Though he missed Sunday’s game due to a little illness, it appears like Gobert will be ready to go on Tuesday against the Clippers.

Naz Reid will likely be moved back to the second unit and Nathan Knight may be taken out of the rotation entirely as a result of his comeback.

Los Angeles Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers are ready to move on from a busy weekend (which they hope to put behind them) when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday.

The Clippers, fresh off a heartbreaking loss in NBA history on Friday and a near-miss on a team flight the day before, pushed the Western Conference’s top team to the limit on Sunday before falling short once more.

On Friday, Russell Westbrook made his NBA debut, and the Clippers lost a nail-biting game to the Sacramento Kings 176-175 in double overtime. The game was more pinball than basketball, and the Clippers blew a 14-point lead with 4:25 to play. The total score was the second highest in NBA history.

Several sources confirm that the team jet was struck by lightning shortly after takeoff on Saturday morning. The next day, despite coming back from an 18-point deficit, Los Angeles fell short in overtime once again, this time by a score of 134-124.

During a two-game losing streak, the Clippers scored 149.5 points per game on average.

Los Angeles could use some stability right about now, but with the stakes so high in the race for a playoff seed, anything might happen.

Kawhi Leonard scored 33 points, Paul George added 23, and Russell Westbrook chipped in 17 in his Clippers’ second game with the squad. Westbrook played 25 minutes and added four assists and five steals.

Mason Plumlee started in place of center Ivica Zubac (right calf strain; he missed the previous two games) and finished with 10 rebounds in 27 minutes.
