Legendary director Quentin Tarantino, who has just released ‘Django Unchained‘ has revealed that he really wants to work with actor Johnny Depp, but so far he felt it hasn’t been the right time. He admits that they’ve talked about it in the past and agreed that they would “ love to work together” but Tarantino would want to write a whole character for Depp in order for it live up to the full potential possible.
“We’ve talked about it for years. Not that we get together and talk about it for years, but from time to time. We’re obviously fans of each other. It just needs to be the right character. I just need to write the right character that I think Johnny would be the right guy to do it with. And if he agrees, then we’ll do it.”
Tarantino believes that it would be “magical” if it happened and he hopes that in the future it will work out but it might not happen either:
“And then it’ll be magical. I haven’t written the perfect character for Johnny Depp as of yet. Maybe someday I will, maybe someday I won’t. We’ll see.”
