Sony will reveal the free Essential Tier PS Plus games for October 2022 on September 28th at 8:30 am PDT / 11:30 am EDT / 4:30 BST.
Sony’s PlayStation Blog post for September confirms that the release date for the next batch of freebies is October 4th.

Free Games Leaving Playstation Extra And Premium
There are three major games leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium next month:
- PGA Tour 2K21 – Oct 7th
- Red Dead Redemption – Oct 17th
- RDR Undead Nightmare – Oct 17th
How to get PS Plus games for free ?
- Go to your PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5’s home screen.
- Head to the PlayStation Plus symbol on the media bar.
- Now, choose which PS Plus games you want to download.
- You’ll now be able to play the newly added games from your ‘Library!‘
