Jessie J has been sharing photos from her pregnancy on social media. And this elicited a variety of reactions…
Jessie J responded to accusations of sharing “inappropriate” pregnancy images
After previously revealing a heartbreaking miscarriage during an earlier pregnancy, the Price Tag singer has been happily sharing photos of her baby bump.
Jessie could be seen relaxing in a bath in one photo, her blossoming bump on full display.
She took the photo in the reflection of a metal knob, covering her chest with one hand and sitting with her legs crossed, making sure she wasn’t showing anything she didn’t want to.
But it appears that it wasn’t enough, as she was forced to defend herself and respond to trolls with a witty remark.
She said: “I just want to remember this feeling forever. Any anyone who has commented ‘inappropriate’ on this post. I bet you zoomed before you commented.”
Someone else called those who labeled the image “inappropriate” “perves.”
While it appears that she had some detractors, it also appears that she had many supporters.
Someone stated: “I had a great time being pregnant. Enjoy every minute of it, and keep the pregnancy updates coming.”
Another person wrote: “It’s entirely natural! Anyone who makes a negative comment should find a new hobby.”
“I love that you are sharing so much of your journey with us,” a third said.
They went on to say: “I long for the days when I was pregnant with my first child. It was a surreal, incredible sensation. I can still feel my two pregnancies. Enjoy every moment and take as many photos as you want, in whatever format you want. You look stunning. Best wishes.”
Despite the positive feedback, Jessie announced a social media hiatus, though it was unclear if the two were related.
Before announcing her pregnancy in January, Jessie revealed that she had a tragic miscarriage in late 2021.
Speaking of her ordeal, the singer revealed that her baby died in the time between two scans in one day.
She took the stage in Los Angeles just hours after opening up about her miscarriage, saying: “I know singing tonight will help me.”
