Possible new drivers in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe leaked
Nintendo has already stated that more drivers will be added in the future, and it appears that many of them have been revealed thanks to a file leak shared on Twitter by user @teebeeYT. If the list is correct, several Mario Kart Tour drivers, including some fan favorites, will be added in the future.
The full list is as follows:
- Chargin Chuck
- Diddy Kong
- Dixie Kong
- Funky Kong
- Hammer Bro
- Kamek
- King Bob-omb
- Monty Mole
- Nabbit
- Pauline
- Petey Piranha
- SNES Mario
The Booster Course Pass in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been steadily adding new content over the last year, much of which debuted in Mario Kart Tour. The mobile Mario Kart game featured a number of exclusive tracks that had never before appeared in a console game, as well as drivers. It would make sense for Nintendo to include some of these characters in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but readers should keep in mind that this is just a rumor for the time being and should be taken with a grain of salt until an official announcement is made.
On March 9th, the next wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass will be released. When it does, players can look forward to the debut of a wholly new track in the form of Yoshi’s Island, as well as seven tracks that previously appeared in Mario Kart Tour and other games in the series. The Booster Course Pass will be available in six waves for $24.99 on the Nintendo Switch eShop. When all six waves are released, players will have access to 48 new tracks and drivers not previously available in the base game. If the above list of new drivers is correct, it will be exciting to see when they are added to the game!
