Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is jam-packed with both new and old pokemon, giving players a plethora of adorable creatures to track down and capture. One of them is Slakoth. With a 50% encounter rate, you won’t have to work too hard to find it. This guide will show you how to evolve Slakoth into Slaking, as well as where to find Slakoth in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Slakoth locations in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Slakoth are known to spawn in trees. To get them, you must first dash into the tree with your poke-bike to knock them down. Slakoth can be found in Paldea’s southeast region—South Province Areas One, Three, and Five. Check out the map below for more information.
Slaking can also be found in the open world, albeit with a very low encounter rate. To find it, go to Area 2, near the North Province poke-stop, and stick to the brown ground. Stay off the green and in the areas surrounding the central small lake.
How to evolve Slakoth into Slaking in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
So, if you have a Slakoth but don’t plan on hunting down a Slaking, you’ll need to start leveling it up. There are no evolution stones or trades required! The following are the level requirements for each evolution:

- Vigoroth to Slaking — Level 36
That’s all there is to evolving Slakoth into Slaking. For more information on Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, see our guide on How to Evolve Igglybuff and Toedscool in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
