According to reports, Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul will be re-evaluated in one week following an MRI on his groin injury.

With just under five minutes left in the third quarter, Paul was boxing out Kentavious Caldwell-Pope when the Nuggets guard went up for an offensive rebound. Paul headed toward the bench and into the locker room shortly after the play.
After Game 2, Phoenix Suns head coach Monty Williams told reporters that Paul couldn’t push off his left leg after a box-out with Nuggets guard.
“He couldn’t push off of it or anything,” Williams explained after Monday’s game. “We’re not quite sure what it is right now, but it seems to be something in the groin area.”
The status of CP3 is ‘unknown’ when the series moves to Phoenix for Games 3 and 4.

Williams said: “Just looked like he was boxing out and he just came up where he couldn’t push off of it or anything,”
“We’re not quite sure what it is right now, but it seems to be something in the groin area. So we’ll find out more tomorrow.” he added.
After dropping Games 1 and 2 in Denver, the Suns trail the Nuggets 2-0 in the Western Conference Semifinals.
Paul, who turns 38 on Saturday, is fifth all-time in postseason assists and 11th in steals in the NBA.
In the 2023 playoffs, Paul is averaging 12.4 points and 7.4 assists per game while shooting 41.8% from the field and 32.1% from beyond the arc.
