Olivia Wilde has revealed that she was the one to make the first move on fiancé Jason Sudeikis – they got engaged this year. The couple first met back in 2011, but it took them several months to get together despite bumping in to each other on several occasions. Eventually, Olivia decided that she need to take the first step because Jason didn’t even manage to get her number when they met each other:
“I met Jason, and I thought he was so charming. He’s a great dancer and I’m a sucker for great dancers. But he didn’t even get my number.”
Olivia enlisted the help of a close guy friend, who passed along her number to Jason. She admits that they ran in to each other countless times over a six month period that year but they never managed to make it happen on their own, so Olivia had to step in and work some magic to get things going:
“Over the next six months we kept running into each other. (One night), my best guy friend walked up to him and said, ‘This is Olivia’s number. Use it.’ That was the beginning.”
