Olivia Palermo has revealed some of her tricks for making trends look great – she likes to take a runway trend and integrate it into her own wardrobe so it looks more personalized, while she gushes that she really loves to find a good fashion bargain, because it makes fashion even more exciting for her:
”The trick is taking a runway trend and incorporating it into your wardrobe in a way that doesn’t break the bank. Blend them with your personal style. It’s not about how much a piece of jewellery costs – if it’s $2, well then that’s even more exciting.”
Olivia also believes in supporting lesser known designers, and so doesn’t always buy big designer names. She often purchases pieces by London designers who aren’t as big as names as the likes of Chanel or Gucci, but she likes the fact that by doing so she can show them her support:
”I love supporting younger, London-based designers like Matthew Williamson and Markus Lupfer. I’ll wear them, as well as some bigger names from time to time, but it’s that high low mix that’s important.”
