The Unfinished Tunnel in the Wildlands is the only known location where Natural Magnetite can be found. It’s an easy place to overlook. Here’s how to get there.
From Leaflands, Cropdale, go right to get to the Eastern Cropdale Trail. Keep going right until you can go north. A new diamond-shaped icon should appear on your map. Navigate to the diamond at the top of the map. This will grant you access to the Southern Crackridge Wilds.
Continue north until you see a group of men near the save point. The Overseer will bar your way into the Unfinished Tunnel. If you can bring him down, you’ll be able to enter the tunnel, which has a level recommendation of 34. The foreman will come to a halt and warn you of a monster lurking in the tunnels. This conversation will initiate the “Cave Monster” side quest.
Don’t worry if you don’t feel like you can take down the boss. There’s no need to. Follow the tracks from the foreman to the first turn down. After a few meters, you’ll see a wooden ramp to your right. Go down it until you see a brown chest. Continue down until you reach another ramp, which you should take.
Your character will temporarily disappear from the screen, but continue on the path until you reach a ladder. Climb the ladder to find a red and gold chest containing the Natural Magnetite!
