On Tuesday night, the Denver Nuggets will visit the Toronto Raptors, hoping to break a three-game losing run.
The Nuggets lost 122-120 against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday before leaving for a five-game road trip that begins in Toronto despite Nikola Jokic’s 35 points, 20 rebounds, and 11 assists.
On Sunday, with Denver needing a 3-pointer at the buzzer to overcome a 15-point fourth-quarter deficit, Jokic missed the shot.
For Denver, Jamal Murray had 16 points but sat out the final period with an injured left knee. He is doubtful to play on Tuesday.
And Denver got 23 more points from Michael Porter Jr. Christian Braun didn’t get into the game until the fourth quarter, but his seven points, three boards, assist, and blocked shot were a huge spark for the comeback.

The Nuggets maintained a five-game lead in the West despite their third straight loss, but the Raptors are about to begin a stretch that will determine whether or not they make the playoffs.
On Friday, the Raptors lost 122-112 against the Los Angeles Lakers, capping a 1-4 road trip with three straight losses.
On March 6, they lost 118-113 in Denver, which was part of the tour.
On Monday, the Toronto Raptors sat in the ninth slot in the Eastern Conference, the last play-in spot in a competitive division.
