Feeling lost in the chaos of Call of Duty: Warzone? Fear not, recruits! Season 3 brings a brand new training mode – Bootcamp – launching on April 3, 2024. Let’s break down what this means for both seasoned veterans and fresh recruits.
What is Warzone Bootcamp?
Warzone throws a lot at you: intense firefights, tactical maneuvering, and a massive map to navigate. It can be brutal for newbies. Bootcamp offers a safe space to hone your skills. This mode lets you:
- Get Familiar with the Game: Learn the ropes of Warzone in a less stressful environment. Experiment with weapons, equipment, and movement mechanics.
- Build Confidence: Go toe-to-toe with a mix of real players and AI (bots) to gain confidence before diving into regular matches.
- Practice Strategies: Squad up with friends or test your solo skills. Bootcamp is perfect for trying out new strategies and loadouts in a low-pressure setting.
While Bootcamp is a great way to train, there are some key differences from standard Warzone:
- Limited Player Count: Matches feature 20 players and 24 bots, offering a more manageable battlefield compared to the full-fledged Warzone experience.
- Focused Action: The action unfolds within a randomly selected section of the expansive Urzikstan map.
- Limited Progression: While you can earn some XP for Player, Weapon, and Battle Pass progression, Bootcamp isn’t the place to complete Daily/Weekly Challenges, Weapon Camos, or the Champion’s Quest. Public Events and Advanced Contracts are also absent.
Even seasoned players can benefit from Bootcamp. It’s a perfect testing ground for experimenting with new weapon loadouts, practicing tactical maneuvers, or simply enjoying a more relaxed match without the constant threat of getting eliminated by skilled veterans.
So, whether you’re a Warzone newbie stepping onto the battlefield for the first time, or a seasoned operator looking to sharpen your skills, Bootcamp offers a valuable training ground to prepare for the ultimate battle royale experience.
About Warzone
Call of Duty: Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale game where you fight to be the last team or soldier standing. It features intense first-person shooter combat with a variety of weapons and equipment to choose from. The most recent update introduced a brand new map, Urzikstan, alongside the familiar Verdansk and Rebirth Island. Warzone allows you to team up with friends or go it alone as you strategize, scavenge for loot, and battle your way to victory.
