Michelle Keegan, one of the UK’s most successful actresses, is set to return to our screens in an exciting new Netflix thriller.
Netflix’s upcoming drama will star Michelle Keegan
Michelle Keegan has announced that she will be starring in a new Netflix thriller based on a book by popular author Harlan Coben.
So far, the 35-year-old star has had a successful career, appearing on ITV’s Coronation Street, BBC drama Our Girl, and Sky comedy series Brassic.
Michelle took to Instagram to announce her new role, sharing a series of photos, including one in which she lounged by a pool in an undisclosed location while reading Fool Me Once, the book on which the new series is based.
Michelle looked stunning in a cream bikini, showing off her flat stomach, with a straw hat on her head to keep the sun out of her eyes while reading.
She wore a shell necklace, hoop earrings, and flashed her husband, Mark Wright’s, massive diamond engagement ring.
She wrote in the caption: “Finally the secrets out!!
“Im over the moon to be joining the cast of FOOL ME ONCE, a @netflixuk thriller based on the book by the extremely talented @harlancoben. Here we gooooo …”
In other photos posted by the star, her character’s name, ‘Maya,’ was seen on the door of her trailer, while in another, Michelle appeared to be in character, dressed in a dogtooth jacket and polo neck tip, with her dark hair scraped into a low bun.
On her first day, she also shared what appeared to be best wishes from some of her friends, including a note that said “don’t forget to laugh” and had Ferne Cotton’s Happy Place branding on it.

The family of Michelle’s husband, Mark Wright, were quick to show their support for Michelle, with his mother, Carol Wright, commenting: “Here we go so excited to watch this you little star @michkeegan a super star.”
Jess Wright, one of Mark’s sisters, added: “Can’t wait,” whilst youngest sister Natalya wrote: “I am so excited for this!!! Go girl.”
Elliott, Mark’s cousin, also expressed his support, writing: “Well done can’t wait to watch it x.”
Louise Thompson, creator of Made in Chelsea, penned: “Well done,” with a number of red love hearts as author Harlan Coben commented: “Here we go!!!”
Michelle sat in a car while holding the Fool Me Once book in front of her face, then pulled it down, smiled for the camera, and posted the video to her Instagram stories to dramatic music.
Michelle’s new role on Netflix has her playing Maya, a Special Operations pilot who returns home from the war to find her two-year-old daughter playing with her husband, Joe, who was supposedly murdered weeks earlier.
