LeBron James was seen talking to Miles Bridges after the Lakers’ loss to the Hornets on Friday. Many fans were outraged by James’ willingness to engage in conversation with the convicted domestic abuser.
Many NBA fans took to social media to express their displeasure with Lakers star
Many would argue that Bridges’ presence at games at the moment is a disgrace to the NBA as a whole. Bridges pled no contest to a felony charge in November of this year and was sentenced to three years of probation and no jail time.

Despite this, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski recently reported that Bridges and the Hornets are “gaining traction” toward a new contract.
Almost immediately after the story broke, many people took to social media to blast the NBA and ESPN for attempting to break the story during a Friday news dump just before the Christmas holiday.
Players would rather muck it up with these abusers than call them out. To be fair, Lebron has never truly stood for anything. He’ll say whatever he thinks makes his image look best at any given moment. https://t.co/6rdS3GYgoG

Keep in mind that Bridges is still signed to Klutch Sports, the high-powered agency founded by James’ own agent and old friend, Rich Paul.

It will be interesting to see how James responds to the criticism. However, knowing how good he is at avoiding controversy, chances are he will simply block out the noise and go about his business.
Bridges’ situation will undoubtedly be something NBA fans keep an eye on in the coming months. Based on what is currently known, he appears to be on his way back to the NBA court.
