MLB The Show developer San Diego Studio has revealed when the next installment in the series, MLB The Show 23, will be officially announced.
MLB The Show 23 Cover Athlete reveal date announced
Since the month of January 2023 is coming to a close, fans have been eager for the past few weeks to learn when the next installment in the franchise will be released. And despite the fact that this reveal has taken a bit longer than some had hoped, we won’t have to wait much longer.
In a new tweet, San Diego Studio announced that the debut of MLB The Show 23 will take place on January 30 at 12 p.m. Pacific Time. This debut will be specifically related to the game’s cover, which is almost always the first thing revealed about every new MLB The Show game. As a result, it is unlikely that we will see any gameplay footage for MLB The Show 23 in the coming days, but the game’s release date and supported platforms should be confirmed.

Based on the reactions of fans to this announcement, many are hopeful that Seattle Mariners superstar Julio Rodriguez will be featured on the cover of MLB The Show 23. Jazz Chisholm, an outfielder for the Miami Marlins, is another popular candidate, but San Diego Studio may ultimately choose a completely different candidate.
In recent years, MLB The Show has expanded to Xbox and Nintendo Switch, in addition to its continued release on PlayStation hardware. MLB The Show 23’s release on PC is by far the most anticipated feature among fans. Currently, San Diego Studio has not announced any plans for the series to transition to PC, but there is a chance that such a move will be announced early next week.
