Marvel’s Midnight Suns Best Team Comps
In Marvel’s Midnight Suns, teams that have characters who can play all the necessary roles typically perform better. However, there are some complexities, such as the ability to replenish Card Plays, redraw cards, and reduce the Heroism cost. As a result, we must highlight two characters:
- Doctor Strange – Doctor Spooky possesses the priceless Agamotto’s Gaze. It draws the last two Attack Cards you played, allowing you to continue with your setups. Cards with Quick, Chain, and “effect on KO” traits, for example, can be used again. Similarly, Blessing of the Vishanti boosts the bonus DPS of all cards in your hand for the remainder of the mission.
- The Hunter – The Hunter, as the player character, is extremely adaptable. You have more than double the number of cards as the other heroes. You can either concentrate on DPS, a variety of support actions, or a combination of the two. Nonetheless, we’ll look at two abilities: Call to Arms and Inspire. The former doubles all Heroism gains for one turn, while the latter removes the cost of a random Heroic card. With these, you can cast devastating powers much faster or free up the resource for other purposes.
Witchfire Chain Gang
This setup is primarily based on characters with a high number of Chain attacks. Spider-Man, as well as the previously mentioned Wolverine, Iron Man (Surgical Strike+), and Blade, are among them. Try to reduce your enemies’ HP while avoiding the minions/fodder. Then you’ll summon Witchfire+ from Nico Minoru. This one requires Magik with Gather+. Basically, you’ll want to hit as many enemies as possible. They’ll start falling from the sky, taking damage and clustering together. You could then use another AoE, a linear ability, or even an environment kill.
You can combine her with Ghost Rider for even more shenanigans. Her Portal can be redirected so that your knockbacks send damaged opponents straight into Ghost Rider’s Hellmouths. Finally, Magik’s Reinforcement+ allows you to summon a fourth team member for a couple of turns.
Tanky Taunters
This team consists of Captain America, Captain Marvel, and Wolverine. If you play your cards correctly, this could be one of the best team combinations.For instance, Captain Marvel can Go Binary, then cast Bring It On+ to do an AoE taunt and gain the Counter perk. Captain America, meanwhile, can use Tactician+, followed by Dig In+, which causes enemies to aggro him instead of an ally, though he can counter their hits. Lastly, Wolverine has Eviscerate+, but he does need (a) Lifesteal from Berserk, (b) enough KOs to get the Counter perk, and (c) maybe some extra block value, too.
Iron Man Mark III Enemies
This is a little more complicated than the previous two. Iron Man with Mark Target+ is required. Redraw this card so that the Marked debuff is applied to hostiles near your target. Each Marked enemy that dies will also replenish the Card Play used, so you can keep playing your cards as you see fit.
Ghost Rider Feeder
One of the best team combinations in Marvel’s Midnight Suns is also fairly straightforward. You only need Ghost Rider and a couple of Hell Ride+ cards to make them appear more frequently in your hand.The goal is to gain enough Heroism while repositioning/knocking back mobs to form a straight line. Simply move Ghost Rider and Hell Ride them to oblivion from there. Just keep in mind that it discards everything in your hand, so make sure you don’t need the remaining powers and aren’t planning on doing any additional setups the next turn.
