After a devastating miscarriage last year and an anxious pregnancy, the former Corrie actress gave birth to her first son with boyfriend Ryan Ledson at the end of January.
Lucy Fallon has revealed the unique name for her baby son, who was born last month
Lucy Fallon and her football player boyfriend, Ryan Ledson, had a son on January 30, 2023, and they decided to call him Sonny Jude.
In an interview with OK! magazine, Lucy revealed the unusual name. Magazine with sweet pictures of her newborn son.
Lucy revealed that there was considerable debate between the couple over what to name their son before he was born.
Lucy shared: “I kept adding names to a list. I liked a lot of names that Ryan didn’t. Some were a bit out there, like ‘Fox’.”
As if that weren’t enough, soap star Lucy had a devastating miscarriage in March 2022, and this pregnancy has been full of anxiety for her.

Opening up, she revealed: “It’s been a roller-coaster of high and low moments, with lots of tears along the way. When Sonny was finally born, we were both sobbing – but happy tears.
“But even though it was an awful time, if we hadn’t gone through the miscarriage, we wouldn’t have Sonny now. It kind of feels like it was all meant to be because if it hadn’t happened, he wouldn’t be him.
“If I could go back, I’d tell myself it’s all going to work out how it’s meant to and, in a year’s time, you’ll feel so much better.”
After losing her baby, doctors told Lucy last year: “It was a traumatising, horrendous time.
“We went for a scan and they couldn’t see anything, so then we went to the hospital and they thought they could see something, so it was very up and down.
“I had pregnancy symptoms and I was feeling really unwell. There were no signs I’d had a miscarriage, so that made it more of a shock. We just assumed everything was going to be fine. Then after a week when they’d done the blood tests and other tests, I went back and they said I’d miscarried. It was a really strange feeling.”
Lucy posted on Instagram earlier this month that Sonny had arrived safely. Along with a black-and-white photo of herself holding the baby next to proud dad Ryan, she wrote, “Our beautiful boy, 30/01/2023.”
