The Kardashians had a candid (kind of) chat with Oprah in which Kim claims they don’t do anything to pull in more ratings. She denies that her flash-in-the-pan wedding to Kris Humphries was created just to make people tune in, even if she did happen to profit majorly as a result. Kim says she thought Kris was the one up until he moved in which was after the wedding:
“We have an amazing fan base that watches the show — we don’t do anything for ratings. I was in love: I wanted the life that I always pictured my fairytale life to be. I would’ve had an extravagant wedding anyway, to end that relationship was a risk in itself to lose ratings and I had to take the risk to be honest to myself. I saw how our relationship was, I don’t want to get into the small things, but once we moved in, I knew he was not the one.”
Kim says she was depressed after the couple called it quits and stayed at home for four months – does anyone remember her disappearing for this length of time? Nope. Anyway, she says she couldn’t leave the house and is now a way better person because ya’know, she learned stuff from how bad it was:
“I was in such a deep depression I thought I was going to back away from everything, I stayed at home for almost four months and I’m a better person now, as heartbreaking as it was to go through. I loved him, obviously it hurt him, and it hurt me too. It was embarrassing, I don’t want to call it a mistake, it was a lesson.”
It’s fun to make sob stories up on Oprah.
