A new Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC leak appears to be circulating these days, but as always, we advise you to be skeptical of online rumors.
Latest Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC leak is likely fake
Given that the leak was first discovered on 4Chan, suspicions should already be high. In any case, let’s check out what’s in the crack. The DLC is apparently titled “Magenta Mirage” and will be larger than Sword & Shield’s two DLCs.
If what has been stated above is true, then a second crater will appear on the map, and a new legendary called Maimyu will be introduced, who is a Water-Dragon type and can therefore be used to counter Koraidon and Miraidon. This crater, which appears to be located in the upper left corner of the map, has drawn the attention of not one but two different groups of people (past and future). Some people and Pokémon have been imprisoned for centuries within Tera crystals.
Lastly, we have the paradox forms of Suicune, Virizion, Delphox, Chesnaught, and Greninja, as well as new evolutions for Kilowattrel, Glimmora, Chimecho and Galvantula. Nothing too out of the ordinary here, but we shouldn’t jump to conclusions.
Contrary to the leaks, keep in mind that the Pokemon games have a strict 12-character limit, and if you believe that Kilowattreel will evolve into hunder Storm, the leaks exceed this limit. In addition, reliable leaker Riddler Khu has previously stated that amber will be the main color scheme for the DLC.
It turns out we weren’t the only ones who thought this was all a bunch of nonsense fabricated for influence. One skeptic responded on Reddit, “No massive curveballs in terms of game mechanics, named NPCs, or new forms for Pokemon that would legitimize most leaks.”
“If the first DLC isn’t out by May, I’ll travel to Iberia myself and eat paella,” someone said in response to the November release date being mentioned. Remember that Sword & Shield’s first expansion was released in June, following its release in November.
There is no official word on when we’ll learn more about the Scarlet & Violet DLC, but expect to learn more soon.
