Kim Kardashian, her sisters, and close girlfriends had arranged for the family private jet to transport them from California to Las Vegas for her 42nd birthday celebrations, but there was confusion in the air when the plane failed to land.
Kim Kardashian’s birthday is marred by the failure of her private jet to land in Las Vegas
The reality TV star-turned-business mogul-turned-want-to-be-lawyer had gone all out for the occasion, booking a flight on her sister Kylie Jenner’s $72.8 million private jet so her group could continue the late-night celebrations in a different state.
Kim and her girlfriends boarded ‘Kylie Air’ after a delicious meal to travel to Sin City and see Usher perform before returning home.
But Kardashian’s extravagant 42nd birthday plans were thrown into disarray when the private jet carrying her and her friends to Vegas failed to land.
Kylie’s jet was decked out with birthday balloons, feather boas, personalized Kim shots, and masks of Kim’s face all over the place so the party could continue in the air.
“Vegas baby!” exclaimed Kim as she boarded the white jet, dressed in a glittering diamond encrusted bra and matching flared trousers, as a troupe of showgirls waved her on.
Kim’s passengers sipped KimTinis, Billionaire’s Beverage, and the imaginatively named Keeks’ Kougar Kourage from a personalised cocktail menu.
Despite an incredible effort, the party plane was unable to land in Las Vegas as planned due to severe weather conditions.
An uproar Kim returned to Instagram to inform her followers that: “The plane couldn’t land due to the wind so looks like our party and Usher concern isn’t happening. We are heading back home.”
Kim’s younger sister Khloe also expressed her displeasure with the situation, as she was seen on a phone call to Usher explaining why they wouldn’t be meeting him as planned.
Kim and her entourage consoled themselves with a trip to fast food chain In-N-Out Burger, where they gorged themselves on cheeseburgers and fries.
The private jet crash comes after Kim and her sisters were labeled “climate criminals” and “tone deaf” for bragging about their short trips on Instagram.
Kylie was chastised after it was revealed on Twitter that she had flown 17 minutes in the air to avoid a 45-minute drive.
Three days later, Kylie ignored the backlash by posting a photo of herself and boyfriend Travis Scott on their plane with the caption “You want to take mine or yours?”
Kim celebrated her 42nd birthday on October 21st with an intimate dinner party attended by her closest friends and family.
It comes two years after Kim sparked outrage by whisking her friends away to a private island in the midst of the Covid pandemic.
Before the health crisis, people “truly appreciated what a simple luxury it was to be able to travel and be together with family and friends in a safe environment,” the Skims founder told her fans.
Kim explained her decision, saying the group was able to travel safely after two weeks of “multiple health screens” and quarantine.
Kim gushed that they had been able to ‘pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.’
Kim’s now ex-husband Kanye West surprised her with a hologram of her late father Robert Kardashian on the unnamed private island.
The gift is said to have brought the entire family to tears.
