Kendall Jenner is the Surprise New Face of Estée Lauder

Reality star and rising model Kendall Jenner has quite surprisingly landed a major beauty campaign for Estée Lauder, very early in her career considering it usually takes top names years to land such high profile (and well paying) jobs. Although the reaction has been mixed, Kendall has revealed that the campaign has been a “dream” come true. She found out about the job offer in September but it was kept secret until the images were released:

”It honestly feels like a dream to represent such an iconic beauty brand – it is an incredible honor and quite humbling. I found out when I was backstage at Paris fashion week, and all this time I’ve had to keep the news top secret. I am so excited to share it now and be part of Estée Lauder.”

The company have already commented on the new beauty campaign, explaining why they selected the young new face for their new images. They hinted that they’re likely to use her social media presence (which includes millions of followers on Instagram and Twitter) to further promote their company in order to reach a younger market. A representative explained:

 ”Bridging the worlds of high fashion, entertainment and social media, Kendall is a modern beauty who represents a whole new generation of women who live, breathe and share beauty, fashion and life 24/7, on their own terms, in a visually compelling way. She is the ultimate instagirl, and we are excited to leverage her image, voice, energy and extraordinary social media power to introduce Estée Lauder to millions of young women around the world.”
