‘Fashion Police’ star Kelly Osbourne, who is soon set to launch her first fashion collection, has spoken on her biggest style icon. Kelly comments that her icon is her mother Sharon because she always allowed her to dress however she wanted and was happy to let her express herself through her fashion choices as she grew up:
”My mum. She’s taught me so much about fashion and how to dress. I’m very grateful to her because she allowed me to experiment when I was younger.”
Kelly reveals that her figure has changed quite a bit since her younger years and she is having fun seeing what suits her new shape. While her off-duty style is quirky, she finds herself gravitating towards more feminine and elegant designs for red carpet events now:
”My body has changed as I’ve got older, so I get to wear things I’ve never been able to before. I’m one of those dorks who’s always loved wearing a backpack! I’m becoming a little more classic these days, though. My red-carpet outfits can be quite feminine.”
The tv host believes standing out and using fashion to express yourself is very important and she loves to get creative with her style, turning “ugly” items in to something pretty. She explained:
”I just think individuality is important. Fashion is a way of expressing yourself. Sometimes, I like to wear something ugly and style it up to make it pretty. It sounds insane, but when I first dyed my hair, I looked in the mirror and finally felt like me.”
