Kelly Clarkson doesn’t seem like the kind of chick to throw shade unless there is someone who needs a good shading. The singer took to her twitter account to publicly slam some of the MTV VMAs performances, and it seemed pretty obvious as to who she was referring to – Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga. Kelly’s priceless comment branded them as “pitchy strippers” and for the most part, it seems as though the public are in agreement – especially when it comes to Miley’s weird grinding/touching/generally inappropriate dancing during her performance with Robin Thicke. Kelly tweeted:
“Just saw a couple performances from the VMAs last night. 2 words…#pitchystrippers.”
Everyone has been bashing Miley’s performance – Brooke Shields said she looked “desperate”, while Robin Thicke’s mother Gloria commented that she didn’t enjoy or understand Miley’s on-stage behavior:
“I don’t understand what Miley Cyrus is trying to do. I think she’s misbegotten in this attempt of hers. And I think it was not beneficial. I didn’t get what her point was. It was so over the top as to almost be a parody of itself.”
Turning the whole thing in to a twitter feud, Miley’s friend Cheyne Thomas rushed to Miley’s defense after Kelly’s comment, calling Kelly “fat”:
“And she’s fat and 30…. the reasons Kelly Clarkson is biter [sic] could really go on for day [sic].”
Pitchy strippers. Kelly wins round one.
