On Wednesday, a matchup between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Memphis Grizzlies will take place in a game that is part of the Western Conference.
The latest update for the Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies
FOR THE CLIPPERS
On Monday, Los Angeles (40-36 SU, 38-38 ATS) prevailed 124-112 over Chicago. If the Western Conference playoffs started today, the Clippers would be the fifth seed after going 3-2 straight up in their last five games.
On March 5, in the sole game between these two clubs this season, the Clippers defeated the Grizz 135-129. After Memphis scored 51 points in the third quarter, LA made a comeback in the fourth quarter behind George’s leadership. In a 17-point run that ended a 10-point hole, George and Kawhi Leonard scored every point.
On Wednesday’s game against the Grizzlies, Kawhi Leonard may suit up.
While Leonard’s team’s best scorer was unexpectedly Nicolas Batum, the star forward still scored 20 or more points for the 12th time in his last 13 games.
The only time Leonard didn’t play during that stretch was when he got hit in the face with an elbow the last time he was on the court.
Leonard’s performance against Chicago indicated that the incident had no lasting impact on him, as he led the team in field goal percentage and was tied for the most rebounds (seven) on the squad.

FOR THE GRIZZLIES
During the weekend, Memphis defeated Atlanta on the road, prevailing by a score of 104-100.
Desmond Bane added 25 points for the Grizzlies and Ja Morant scored 27 in his return to the starting lineup. Memphis forward Jaren Jackson Jr. called the victory “massive,” and he noted, “We haven’t really been getting it going on the road.”
The Grizzlies had a shooting percentage of 53.9%, with 62 points scored in the paint and 24 scored on the fast break.
Memphis was outrebounded by Atlanta 48-39 and gave up 14 offensive boards, but the Hawks were unable to capitalize. The Hawks shot just 7-for-31 (22.6%) from beyond the arc.
On Sunday, Memphis (47-27 SU) beat Atlanta (35-37-2 ATS) 123-119; on Tuesday, they’ll take on Orlando. The Grizzlies are presently in second place in the WC rankings after winning their last six games in a row.
Morant (thigh) is expected to play on Wednesday against Orlando, according to coach Taylor Jenkins, as reported by Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal.
After missing Tuesday’s game with a thigh injury, Morant is expected to play well against the Magic in the second game of Memphis’ back-to-back. The starting point guard spot is expected to go to the outstanding player, who will replace Tyus Jones.
Keep checking the Grizzlies’ injury report later on tonight.
